Transform your food, Change Your Life!!

Today is an awesome day, is it not? Yes of course it is, you got up, you are on your way to work or school but how do you feel?  Well, do you feel grateful, or are you a little sluggish and down. Let us put some focus on food, for the past few months all I have heard is sugar is bad for you, it has been proven to cause gut problems and make you sluggish and cause everything from cancer to diabetes. So why do we continue to fill our gut with this apparently diabolical body invading and draining substance, because it is addictive, tastes good and gives us instant energy! However, we could do much better couldn't we!!! I advise everyone to find a sugar substitute that works best for you…no sugar would be great but our body need a certain amount of these carb’s to work. Natural ones like fruit and even some veggies are better for you, last longer, and have a healing effect on the body….so…get on your computer and look up some amazing foods you can substitute for sugar,

Positive Power of knowing your Current Mood

Okay, so I am learning how to notice what mood I am in and how  to use this mood to get the most from myself.  I have read in many self-help books as of late that knowing the mental state you are in activates the thoughts you project at that moment at an amazing rate. This said, if you are in a bad state you could not just stop thinking, this would in fact be impossible; we think even when we are sleeping.  So how can you harness something positive from a negative space or frame of mind? Well let us start by saying your day is going all wrong and you want to say something like “If this is any indicator of how my day is going to be, I should just go back to bed!"  I say TISK...TISK...TISK, harness that negative feeling and take a breath.  Say something like “Well, this is not what I was expecting toady, however I know that my day is not over, and good things are just around the corner!" In saying something like this, even if you are in a viscous mood, menta

The Kindness of being "Happy"

What is being  "HAPPY?" To some being happy can take on different meanings and faces. Like grief , happiness can come with odd side effects, some cry, some get overly wet hands, waiting for the other shoe to drop, thinking...happiness never lasts for me.  So, can you describe the happiness inside of you, what it looks like, sounds like, tastes like? How in touch are you with your inner child; this is the little you who used to play with GI Joe or Barbie and was told at a certain age that playtime is over.  My blog for today is about getting back to that happy place, I want everyone reading this to get out a pen maybe go out and by a 97 cent. notebook from your local dollar store or Walmart....etc.. and get to making out your list.    I will give you some steps to take that may help: 1. Note Book and pencil ( Decorate the front of it like you used to in High School) or if you were the color between the lines type, get one of the black and white note boo

Responding to the VMA- Shameless and Destructive!

In the past I tried to defend the Stars and Starlets of the Music Industry, I tried to give them a break, but now I think they need a wake-up call!!! Please, pass this on. Better forms of Entertainment for us, and our children: Watching old movies, Listening to music from times gone 20’s,30’,40’s- up till the 70’s Jazz, Blues and R&B and Real Rock and Roll. Through Literature and Art, and Education, and real Music we can give our young men and women, vision of what growing into adults really entails and the true time it takes to cultivate who they are. The one thing I have to say is, for the love of everything precious and sacred, change the channel and stop purchasing the trash that is on the shelves.  If you want a better form of E ntertainment support true artists, poets, novelist, and movie makers who are on the track of Enlightened thought and human progression. Everyone’s culture has its beauty; the fact that we allow ourselves ( Black Culture?) to get side tracke

A letter to the United States!!!

This is a letter to America. Dear America: How troubled I have become. Our great nation is losing its hold on the true value of living. The devastating facts are we have come very fare with many thing but we are taking a drastic step back with many others. The President is bound for nothing more at this point then, being seen by some as “nothing more” than the, first Black President. In addition, many of our Nations racist occupants are more than glade to see this happen.  Dear America, do you see the crazed state we are in, or are you so caught up in the spectacle of it all? Are you so desensitized, that you have left behind morals for money, faith for supposed freedom, and dignity for fame. To the rich of this country, are you so amazed that the poor have a lingering distrust for big business, are you so disillusioned by your status that you think " no one can touch me, I can do whatever I want."  We have people starving, just surviving and dying, willing t

The Scoop on Mr. Kilt and Ked's RJ Grady and Pipapelli

Ladies and Gentlemen tonight's Movie Madness  Creature From The Black Lagoon ft. music by  PIPAPELLI I love the Blues, everything about it give us the ability to bring out the darkest part of us and make it useful.  So being able to do this, who says it always has to be in the key of G- 12 bar/ and played with the usual four piece band or a four piece with a horn section or a four piece with an harmonica...Why not add Bagpipes... and a Kilt!  From one end of the East-West Coasts' to the other, in the Blues Circuit here in the USA you can find Blues bands saying they are original, and the words give you the idea that they are keeping up with the times but PIPAPELLI is giving you the Celtic-Metal-Barrel house-Blues! So without further ado...might I add this is a big to do.....the Q&A Interview with RJ Grady...Mr. Kilt and Ked's himself. Aunt Kitty:  When did you come up with the awesome cross of Celtic-Blues? RJ Grady:   I've been pla
