Mark Appleford The Bard of Asheville

Hello Everybody, I am proud and happy to present "Mark Appleford" as one of the guest's we will have on the "IC." Let me tell you a little about Mark, he is a wonderful Singer Songwriter whom I had the privilege of working with in a band called "Yer Dawg" in 2005, this was a short lived experience but gratifying none the less.

Mark's sound is an effusion, bridging him with the likes of  Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Wilco, and The Replacements. He is a Singer/ Songwriter/ Guitarist/and Harmonica player; born in the town that helped put "American music" on the map "Detroit." Mark's songs can sometimes remind you of the opening to one of your favorite "Coen Brother's movie" then other times you get whisked away to a club in New Orleans with a band playing sweet sounds as you dance the night away to this "tasty yet raspy" voice crooning everything from down home blues to originals. Mark is not just a fun and game's man, Appleford has the ability to bring a ribald nature to his music; however, he can also make you swoon with remembrance of things that you had long forgotten, or thing's that bridge you with the unknown inside of you.

He has called Asheville, North Carolina his home since 2004. In the summer of 2010 Mark Appleford started a two night a week residency at "Athena's" ( 14 college Street, in the heart of downtown Asheville)  he play's every Friday and Saturday night from 7:30pm to 10pm.

I have no doubt that you will enjoy Mark's live shows or listening to his music at home. To catch a listen to the man we will be interviewing just go to www.reverbnation.com/markappleford.

A list of Appleford's accomplishments include: Adlin& Appleford's " All over the place" 2006
